Pavement Marking - Yellow/White Gunnner

An exciting opportunity exists at Mainroad Alberta Contracting LP for a self-motivated individual to join our pavement marking team as a Yellow Line Painter. This is a summer position based out of our Red Deer, AB office and will report directly to the Foreman.

What you bring:

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience of long line/striper pavement painting with a tandem axle line striper


• Class 3 Driver’s License with airbrake endorsement and clean abstract is preferred


• Ability to perform regular maintenance on a paint truck is preferred


• Capability of working nightshift


• Safety conscious with the willingness to learn and practice safe work habits, and actively participate in worksite safety in general


• Proficiency with computer systems


• Ability to read engineered drawings is preferred


• Strong learning agility


• Ability to work both independently with minimum supervision and as a team player


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability and willingness to work outdoors in all kinds of weather


• Dedicated and committed

This role involves a range of job duties, which include, but are not limited to:

• Re-stripes existing line markings and new line markings on new projects


• Performs activities related to a Highways Maintenance Contract


• Materials handling of paint and glass traffic spheres


• Completes field level hazard assessments


• Works on projects outside of a Highways Maintenance Contract


• Completes the necessary training as required


• Follows the Safety Policies as outlined in the Mainroad Manual


• Other job duties as required and assigned

Pay range: $30.48 to $32.93 per hour
