Job Description - Payroll and Benefits Specialist

Here at Collectivfide we have big goals and big dreams, so we need to fill our team with amazing talent.  We are looking to add to our HR team.  be responsible for payroll for the company along with benefits and pension administration.



This is a hybrid role; you will work primarily from home but will be expected to come into the Cambridge, ON office for collaboration days, team meetings/events.



Here’s What You Will Be Doing …



Key Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Process and administer semi-monthly payroll both within and across the Collectivfide network

  • Maintain accurate records of employee earnings, deductions, benefits, taxed, and other payroll-related data

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities as they related to payroll and benefits (i.e. setting up new hires, processing terminations, final pay packages)

  • Support employees through the benefit and pension enrolment, and administer changes accurately and in a timely manner with providers

  • Act as the main point of contact for benefits and payroll, and resolve any inquires or discrepancies in a timely and confidential manner

  • Generate payroll and benefits reports for Finance and HR

  • Prepare and support quarterly payroll audits and year-end processes

  • Remain current with employment standards legislation and update policies and procedures as required

  • Serve as the liaison between Collectivfide and vendors/program providers



Qualifications: 



  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in processing payroll for multiple entities, and processing various payments (i.e. commission and bonus payments, taxable benefits, etc.)

  • Must have experience utilizing payroll processing software (ADP preferred)

  • 1-2 years’ experience with benefits administration

  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office 365

  • Solid understanding of employment standards legislation (Ontario)

  • Graduate of Business Administration, HR Management, or Accounting program, or similar education, experience, or combination of both

  • Must have strong communication and organizational skills and be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
