Job Description - People Solutions Business Partner II
ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Manager, People Solution Business Partner, the People Solutions Business Partner II plays a critical role in delivering holistic human resources solutions and acts as a subject matter expert/consultant to internal partners within all divisions and departments of the organization. This role supports Assiniboine Credit Union/ Caisse Assiniboine (ACU)’s commitment to rural and agricultural communities, francophone services, values-based banking and ACU’s triple bottom line accountability to people, planet, and prosperity.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Design, develop, and execute companywide People Solutions initiatives that drive organizational performance and efficiency, build employee engagement and company branding.
Act as the Human Resources subject matter expert, provide human resources coaching and counsel to employees and managers across the organization.
Identify, develop, and implement projects and programs to ensure that ACU is seen as a best-in-class employer.
Develop and implement Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs across the organization in an intentional and thoughtful way that enhances organizational culture while also achieving goals and workforce targets.
Develop and review compensation programs and initiatives to align total rewards with organizational goals, market competitiveness, attraction, and retention.
Conduct full cycle job evaluations, including job description development and market research.
Understands compensation philosophies and methodologies to ensure equitable compensation practices are applied consistently across the organization in accordance with ACU's compensation structure.
Work in collaboration with managers on resolving complex issues in the areas of employee relations, absenteeism, performance management, and disability claims management.
Support investigation into employee complaints and concerns, ensuring fair and consistent outcome in accordance with legislation and company policies
Lead the review of policies and procedure, ensuring that ACU is up to date on legislative requirements and emerging trends
Leverage Human Resource Information System in day-to-day operations, identifying trends, employee reporting, identifying opportunities, threats and gaps in our human capital, and succession and development planning.
Responsible for completing of all administrative work associated with tasks, project, and initiatives within area of responsibility.
Manage and monitor ongoing diversity and inclusion initiatives to ensure values alignment.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment and identify initiatives to advance the knowledge, skill and understanding of diversity and inclusion. Develop external partnership with community organizations in support of ACU’s organizational goals.
Maintain professional confidentiality and privacy at all times.
Responsible for maintaining up to date knowledge and ongoing compliance on legislative and regulatory requirement, ensuring compliance in the execution of internal policies and procedures, and collaborating with legal representation as required to ensure compliance
Ensure that all People Solutions programs, policies, and process are implemented in a manner that supports the organization’s Mission, Vision, and values-based banking.
Keep current on human resources and development best practices, business trends and potential problems, issues and changes in the financial services industry, and other external forces. Develop recommendations for changes to programs, policies, programs, and initiatives as required.

LOCATION
This is a hybrid position based in Winnipeg.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelors’ degree in Business, accompanied by at least five (5) years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
The Chartered Professionals in Human Resources designation (CPHR), or equivalent relevant experience is an asset.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strategic thinker with the demonstrated ability to understand business goals, develop and recommend new approaches, programs, policies, and processes that yield business/engagement improvement.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and presentation skills with the ability and passion to engage with others authentically, establish trust, and build long-lasting relationships and influence at all levels.
Ability to apply analytical rigor to facilitate data driven decision making on People trend identified through reporting and develop plans to proactively address concerns.
Experience and comfort with a fast-paced, complex work environment, and the ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities simultaneously, with an orientation toward delivering results.
Ability to independently plan and manage projects, lead a team to successful project conclusion and effectively communicate to all stakeholders.
Proven experience utilizing a robust HRIS in day-to-day work is required.
