About the role:
At Compass ELC you will work as a Float Nutrition Specialist alongside some of the most passionate, caring and dedicated educators in the industry. You will spend your time planning, prepping, and cooking nutritious and delicious meals and snacks, in accordance with the Canada Food Guide, Ministry of Education, and Compass Early Learning and Care policies and guidelines. You will model and grow a perspective of equity and strive for a deeper understanding of cultural awareness. This role will begin at our CELC Bowmanville Program located in Holy Family Catholic Elementary School for a short-term contract until the end of May. Beginning in June this position will transition into a Float Nutrition Specialist role, supporting all CELC programs within the City and County of Peterborough, Northumberland, City of Kawartha Lakes, and the Durham Region.
Hours will be based on program needs and funding. You will work 35 to 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, hours may vary between 6:30 am and 6 pm.
