Job Description - Pharmacy Assistant, Production Team Lead
JOB SUMMARY
The Pharmacy Assistant, Production Team Lead will be reporting to the Pharmacy Operations Manager. The position is responsible for technical and workflow functions concerning the Production department, specifically, training of new pharmacy assistants, shipping management, troubleshooting staff inquiries, investigating incidents in the production department and meeting daily operational objectives, under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Operations Manager. They are also responsible for projects and pharmacy initiatives as delegated by the Pharmacy Manager.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
· Performs operational duties to support the overall Production department objectives
· Lead and carry out shipping department activities
· Troubleshoots and resolves staff inquiries about the workflow
· Leads training of new pharmacy assistants, and provides feedback to existing staff members in a timely manner
· Reviews the daily workflow throughout the day and reports delays to the Pharmacy Manager
· Investigate incidents as it pertains to the production department, as assigned by the pharmacy manager
· Proactively provides solutions to resolve issues in the department
· Ensures completeness of filing requirements in accordance with the College regulations
· Provides updates and reports concerns and updates to the Pharmacy Manager
· Work in collaboration with the Pharmacy Manager to implement corporate initiatives relating to production workflow efficiency
· Maintain customer service expectations in a timely manner, knowing when to involve Pharmacist or the Pharmacy Management
· Perform other duties as assigned to support CareRx operations

PREFERRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Minimum one year of pharmacy experience
· Experience with Kroll software an asset
· Experience with MS Office, such as Outlook and Smartsheet, an asset
Compensation Range:$21-24/hour.Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.
Location:This is an on-site role at1176 Franklin's Gull Road Parksville, V9P2M9and follows a five-day workweek, Monday to Friday. We are closed on weekends and statutory holidays.
