Job Description - Physical AI Lab Specialist


About the EY.ai Lab


The EY.ai Lab is the first EY facility fully dedicated to helping organizations integrate AI into physical environments. Equipped with leading-edge robotics, sensors, and simulation capabilities, the Lab offers clients a rapid R&D space to model, test, and improve physical systems before deploying them into the real world.



Role Overview


We are seeking a Physical AI Lab Specialist to manage day-to-day operations of the EY.ai Lab and deliver exceptional client experiences. This role is critical in enabling organizations to explore and adopt AI-driven solutions for physical environments through hands-on demonstrations, innovation sessions, and applied research.



Key Responsibilities



  • Client Engagement & Demonstrations


    • Design and conduct interactive demos showcasing robotics, sensors, and simulation capabilities.

    • Explain technical concepts in a clear, business-relevant manner.


  • Innovation & Collaboration


    • Facilitate innovation workshops and ideation sessions with clients and internal teams.

    • Design, develop and support rapid prototyping and testing of AI-enabled physical systems.


  • Research & Development


    • Investigate emerging industry use cases for AI in physical environments (e.g., manufacturing, logistics, healthcare).

    • Maintain awareness of cutting-edge robotics and sensor technologies.


  • Lab Operations


    • Ensure all equipment and simulation platforms are functioning optimally.

    • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for client visits and sessions.




Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Robotics, AI, Engineering, or related field.

  • Hands-on experience with robotics platforms, sensors, and simulation technology for the development and testing of physical AI robotics.

  • Strong communication skills to engage both technical and business audiences.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver in a fast-paced environment.



Preferred Skills and Knowledge



  • Knowledge of industry applications for robotics and AI.

  • Experience with ROS/ROS2 and Unitree SDK

  • Gazebo or Isaac Sim for virtual testing and demos

  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and physical system integration.

  • Developing reinforcement learning methods for robot behavior

  • Expertise in kinematics, locomotion, and control systems

  • Knowledge of AR/VR for immersive presentations

  • Experience in client-facing roles or innovation consulting.
