Physiotherapist

Hourly Compensation: $85-95+ 

Bayshore Medical Personnel is seeking a part-time Physiotherapist (5 hrs/week) to work alongside our federal client near Victoria, British Columbia

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Current license in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia or Physical Therapists of BC


• Minimum of six (6) months experience in providing primary care as a Physiotherapist in the last two (2) years.


• All experience must be strictly work-related.


• Experience must be demonstrated through a history of past projects, either completed or on-going.

Tasks:

• Provide and actively participate in the coordinate essential health care services as a Registered Physiotherapist;


• 
  

  Provide physiotherapy health services in accordance with the National Essential Health Services Framework. These services include but are not limited to the following: i. Physical health assessment;ii. Consultation; iii. Treatment;iv. Appropriate referrals;

  
  


• Assess the patients, commence treatment and evaluate the efficacy of the treatment given;


• Provide to the Physician a description of the assessment, commencement of treatment and the evaluation of the efficacy of the treatment given;


• 
  

  In-services to staff when requested by the Manager Health Services to promote safe and effective body mechanics while performing lifts and moving patients;

  
  


• Be able to work as a member of the professional Health Services team for the delivery of services;


• Enter patients’ treatment report and recommendations into a Medical Record system;


• Prepare physiotherapy clinic lists and appointment schedules triaged based on consults received and emergencies as they arise.
