As a Physiotherapist, you'll help patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life through individualized treatment plans. Your work may take place in diverse settings, including:
Community Health Centres
Remote First Nations communities
Regional hospitals and outpatient clinics
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Patient Care:
Assess mobility, strength, and physical limitations
Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to each patients needs
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, techniques, and treatment plans
Monitor progress and adjust treatments based on patient feedback and goals
Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver holistic, patient-centered care
Qualifications:
Degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution
Registered and licensed to practice in British Columbia
Compliance Requirements:
Clear Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector)
Two professional references
Up-to-date immunizations
Core Competencies:
Strong clinical assessment skills
Excellent communication and collaboration within teams
Cultural safety and sensitivity in diverse patient populations
Compassionate, patient-centered care
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Working Conditions:
Travel may be required to rural and remote First Nations communities
Flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays
Physical role requiring hands-on patient assistance
