 Position Summary

As an Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping clients achieve and maintain their highest level of functional independence. You’ll support Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists through the implementation of personalized rehabilitation programs, working closely with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure safe, effective, and meaningful care.

This role is ideal for a compassionate, innovative, and collaborative professional who thrives in a dynamic home and community care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the performance of client treatment plans
• Provide education on therapy goals, exercises, and adaptive equipment
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for care coordination
• Ensure safety protocols and maintain organized therapy spaces
• Document care activities and support scheduling and referrals
• Supervise activities of PTA/OTA students on occasion

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s in Kinesiology (preferred)
• College level Physio and/or Occupational Therapy Diploma (required)
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• 3–5 years of clinical experience (required)
• Experience with complex medical conditions and mobility support / equipment
• Home and community care experience (preferred)
• Familiarity with mobile work tools and EMR systems
