Plasma Cutting Machine Operator - Afternoon Shift

Brannon Steel is looking for an experienced CNC Plasma Cutting Machine Operator to join the team at its Brampton manufacturing location on the afternoon shift. Start from $24.62 to $36.56 per hour depending on experience PLUS up to $2 per hour in afternoon shift premiums.

Duties

• Above all, work safely!
• Setup, operate, and troubleshoot one or more 2-axis CNC plasma cutting machines.
• Move large steel parts and plate using overhead crane with clamps, magnets, vacuum lifters and other attachments.
• Read part drawings and production documents.
• Check finished parts against specifications.
• Perform and document quality inspections.
• Document work completed.

• Experience operating 2-axis or 3-axis CNC plasma cutting machines.
• Experience operating overhead cranes, preferably with valid record of training.
• Perform manual material handling up to 23 kgs (50 lbs).
• Perform standing and repetitive work including bending, twisting, lifting, and stair climbing.
• Read, write, and speak English at a conversational level.
• Perform basic math.
• Able to work an afternoon shift (Monday to Friday 3PM - 11PM).

• Shift premiums up to $4 per hour on nights and up to $2 per hour on afternoons.
• Overtime after 40 hours per week.
