This is an on-site job in Fort McMurray, AB

Climate Control is a locally owned company helping people stay comfortable in a city that experiences all weather extremes imaginable. We help with heating, air conditioning, plumbing, refrigeration, gas lines, and kitchen equipment.
 
We seek a Plumber/Gasfitter in Fort McMurray, Alberta, who can serve our loyal and valued customers. 
 
Our Team Members love being trusted to make their own decisions and care for clients as if it’s their own business while receiving the support they need to make it happen. We are based in town, and you can be home by 5:30 every evening.
 
We offer an excellent wage of $45 per hour for a Journeyperson, along with benefits, generous vacation pay, and up to 3 months of accommodation to help candidates who need to relocate. We also offer profit-sharing incentives for Team Members who help build our business.
 
Here’s how our hiring process works. Qualified applicants will receive an interview with our recruiting team. If it goes well, they will then receive an interview with the hiring manager and a job offer if successful.

Qualifications

What you need to succeed

- Qualified in Alberta as a Journeyperson Plumber and Class B Gasfitter – Class B, or 3rd or 4th year apprentices
- Customer Service Mindset
- Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract
- Strong Written/Verbal Communication Skills
- Leadership abilities and a focus on team
- Journeyperson Class A Gasfitter Ticket or Apprenticeship is preferred

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

1.Install, diagnose, test, and repair plumbing fixtures, pipes, and drainage systems, ensuring all safety regulations are met and exceeded
2.Identify products or components needed for work and order materials as required
3.Perform inspections of pipes and plumbing fixtures
4.Install and maintain gas meters and regulators and gas lines between the gas unit and meter
5.Install, maintain, and service gas heating units such as burners, valves, and automatic controls
6.Study drawings and specifications to determine the layout of the installation and materials required, marking reference points for the installation of gas lines and equipment
7.Communicating candidly and professionally with customers, building trust and repeat business
8.Completing Work Orders and other administrative paperwork in a timely fashion
9.Other duties as required
