We are looking for a full-time proactive, Pre-Press Quality Control Technician. The Pre-Press Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting pre-press files at job initiation, throughout development, and prior to the plate-making stage to ensure all files are accurate, error-free, and properly formatted. This includes reviewing customer files, step-and-repeat layouts, and 1-bit TIFF output files to verify they meet all customer packaging specifications and quality standards.
What You’ll Do:
Areas of Responsibility:
Support and contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to all workplace regulations, policies, and safety initiatives, including promptly reporting all first aid incidents, accidents, and potential hazards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area in accordance with the 5S program.
Collaborate with the supervisor and Packaging Engineer on critical projects, timelines, and any potential delays or issues.
Perform detailed inspections of pre-press production files to verify spelling, text accuracy, ingredient lists, nutrition facts, UPC numbers and sizing, element positioning, and die lines in accordance with customer packaging specifications.
Inspect pre-press output files (1-bit TIFF) to ensure they meet established quality standards and job requirements, including:
Verifying output files against the production sheet for:
Number of colors
Repeat configuration
Percent of distortion
Round across
Eyespot positioning
Guideline placement
Unwind direction
UPC size
Bar code reduction
Line screen
Color rotation
Confirming proper trapping and pullback
Reviewing images for clarity, defects, or imperfections
Checking dot shape and consistency
Redirect files to the appropriate personnel for corrections or revisions when issues are identified.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
Requires strong grammatic accuracy in English language for proof-reading
Minimum qualification (Associate Degree, preferably in Graphics / Design)
Exceptional Attention to Detail

Computer Literacy
Problem Solving skills
Willing to collaborate with others
