What you’ll do:
Our precision equipment technician will be trusted to ensure inspection, maintenance and repairs of all weather stations and other applicable precision agriculture equipment is completed through hands on maintenance and coordination of maintenance through the team. Duties will include:
The maintenance and repair of weather stations and other precision equipment
Servicing smaller pieces of equipment that have small electrical components
Servicing other lines of equipment if required
Maintaining a high level of efficiency and knowledge, you will keep up to date with the advancing technologies within the industry
A flexible work arrangement that may have you working within the shop or in the field
Coordinating in-field and in-shop maintenance by liaising with other team members and ensuring all equipment is meeting acceptable maintenance requirements
Maintaining the knowledge of the team is at an acceptable level to maintain our equipment
We operate in a cyclical environment that requires extended hours during the farming season including evenings and weekends
What you bring:
2-3 years of repairing small ag, automotive or electronic equipment
Strong mechanical inclination
Experience working on smaller mechanical pieces of equipment
Understanding of electrical components and how to maintain them
A focus on working accurately, safely and efficiently
Strong attention to detail
Intermediate computer skills
Problem solving skills and the ability to come up with creative solutions
Experience working with farm equipment or in a shop environment would be considered an asset
