Job Description - Preschool Teacher

  • Plans and implements a consistent child-centered program

  • Maintains neat, orderly, and clean activity areas

  • Ensures provincial safety and supervision standards are maintained

  • Ensures delivery of high quality programs and age appropriate care

  • Abides by appropriate privacy and confidentiality requirement/legislation participant

  • Leads with enthusiasm and high energy

  • Keen interpersonal, time management and organizational skills


 


We’d love to hear with people with:



  • Must be 19 years of age (as per provincial licensing standards)

  • Early Childhood Educator Certificate

  • Current standard First Aid certification

  • Minimum of two years’ experience working with as Early Childhood Educator/preschool setting

  •  Provide 3 references of a professional nature (Ex. employer, supervisor, colleague, teacher, coach, etc.)

  •  Provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued no later than six (6) months preceding your start date. The YMCA will provide applicable instructions and paperwork.
