Description

We are looking for a EVOL 115 Operator (Printer Slotter Operator) for our Hannon location. This position will be reporting to the Production Supervisor.

Broad Purpose

To safely operate and maintain all Evol equipment and machinery to produce quality products per company quality policy and customer specifications

General Job Duties:

Work in a team environment and be a team player

Evol Operator will be required to rotate all positions on the machine through the shift

All Evol operators will be required to verify stock dimensions with production copy

Will demonstrate a continual commitment to quality, production and continuous improvement

Will meet or exceed all ISO/Quality/HACCP requirements

Prepare the machine for production and run at 330 feeds per minute or above the standard set by the manufacturer

Perform any and all set-up procedures at standards set by the manufacturer

Maintain specifications by observing the operation; detecting malfunctions, inspecting parts and adjusting controls as required

Ensure optimal operation of the Evol by troubleshooting problems and notifying the supervisor when necessary

Verify print and other specifications with production copy and visually inspect for any non-conformances

Report all problems to your Supervisor when they occur

Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Other duties as assigned

Abide by all plant rules, safety rules and regulations of the Company

Safety Responsibility and Accountability:

Follow equipment specific physical lock out tag out procedure

Report all hazards / problems to your Supervisor when they occur.

Other available tools are when hazard rating is low.

Pre-use inspection form

Use Manager plus and place a work request

Use of hazard reporting form

Report injury / incident to your Supervisor immediately

Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety act, and Good housekeeping practices.

Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) – Gloves, sleeves, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, Hi- viz vest in Shipping/warehouse

Mobile equipment operator to ensure daily operator checklist is completed before use. I.e. Clamp truck, Forklift, Elevated work platforms.

Abide by all plant rules, safety rules and regulations of the Company

Keep fire equipment and exits clear all time

Zero Tolerance - Workplace Violence and Harassment: Refer to the policy posted on the H&S board.

Education:

Minimum High School Diploma

Basic Math

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

Previous manufacturing experience an asset

Mechanical aptitude required

Computer literate

Machine operation skills

Organization skills

Good communication

Flexibility to work rotating shifts

Team Player

Self starter
