Pay Band:This role is accepting candidates at both the Engineer and Engineer In Training level. Qualified applicants will be evaluated for the level that aligns most closely with their education, experience, and qualifications.

This position reports to the Chief Metallurgical Engineer. 

This position is located in Vanscoy, Saskatchewan, Canada and is not available for remote work.

What you will do:

  • Ensure process performance of all areas of the mill, including being the primary point of contact for process problems and troubleshooting, identification of continuous improvement opportunities
  • Provide Operations support, guidance, and training
  • Perform project development, support, and/or execution
  • Perform process improvement project/MOC development & execution
  • Perform drawing updates, reviews, and approvals

What you will bring:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant discipline from a recognized institution
  • P. Eng. or Engineer-in-Training Designation and/or eligibility to register with APEGS
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in production and/or operations
  • Positive safety behaviour and proven history of demonstrating "Respect in the Workplace" values
  • Knowledge of mineral processing principles, process control, sampling theory, and Potash milling experience
  • A mindset that will help our teams progress Equity, Diversity and Inclusion on our site and in the organization
  • Experience with experimental design, and both bench and pilot scale test work
  • Experience with SAP, Meridian, PI ProcessBook, Foxboro DCS, PARCView, Seeq, and METSIM would all be considered assets
