Job Description - Procurement Coordinator

Opportunity Details

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Procurement Coordinator for a 12-month term position with its Ottawa/Gatineau-based customer.

Work Location

The successful candidate will be required to work on-site at the customer headquarters in Gatineau, QC, on a hybrid basis.

Key Tasks

  • Manage Supplier onboarding process and support all related day-to-day tasks according to company guidelines
  • Manage documentation and maintain updated and accurate records in ERP system
  • Review Supplier Certificates of Insurance and validate that all insurance requirements are being met
  • Ensure timely conversion of Purchase Requisitions into Purchase Orders
  • Review exceptions and comments submitted by Suppliers to company’s Terms and Conditions and work closely with the Legal department to achieve a resolution.
  • Investigate and resolve any issues related to Purchase Orders
  • Assist in process improvements and procedure optimizations
  • Work closely with Project Managers and other business stakeholders to ensure efficient and consistent procurement practices throughout all stages of the project
  • Provide high level of customer service and daily support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Safeguard, and ensure adherence to all company Procurement Processes and Policies

Key Qualifications

  • A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a Procurement function supporting the day-to-day activities of the Procurement team
  • Experience in a Procurement Coordinator role providing support to more Senior Procurement team members such as Procurement Team Leads and Managers
  • Strong technical acumen and experience using day to day technology and software supporting the Procurement function. This includes previous experience using an ERP system and advanced working knowledge in all Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook

Assets

  • Degree in Business Administration
  • Previous experience in Purchasing
  • Experience supporting the onboarding of new vendors including vendor compliance and vetting of vendor credentials
