Product Design Lead

We are looking for an experienced Design Lead to guide Brim’s design culture across all of its digital products and brand communication channels. With a passionate approach towards design and user-oriented products; we are looking forward to bringing aboard a confident team manager with an extensive understanding of strategy, planning, implementing and managing digital products/design. This lead role should be able to master product design disciplines, and requires a strong end to end experience on translating business requirements, generating ideas, visual concepts and executing design, as on delivering finished work assets for production of online and offline platforms. Experience in graphic design is also required. As a hands-on leader you will be also managing a team of designers, responsible for briefing, allocating resources, dividing workload, critiquing design, providing feedback and leading them on Brim’s design vision and culture. The role will require working with different departments, stakeholders and articulating strategy for project rollouts. With respect to the above, technical knowledge aligned with the ability to collaborate, give creative direction and turn work around quickly to meet deadlines is fundamental in our exciting fast-paced environment.

This Candidate may perform some or all of the following duties:

• Plan, manage and execute projects and work with a cross-functional group of stakeholders to ensure deliverables are creative, effective and reflect high quality work.
• Use typography, colour theory, and creative thinking to conceptualize the design and layout, all while consistently applying corporate brand guidelines.
• Support brand communication campaigns through newsletter and presentation design, social and digital content, video concepts and editing, and campaign materials, including core brand assets.
• Advocate and create user-centered, data-driven design.
• Ensure all communications and marketing materials support the organization’s brand and image and promote achievement of the organization’s objectives.

Qualifications/Skills:

• A strong online portfolio that displays your creative, on-brand and customer-driven thinking
• Team Leadership and Project Management skills
• Branding
• Proficient in Figma
• Experience using Adobe CC, with a solid knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro
• Strong collaboration skills with previous consulting experience preferred
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, evaluate/weigh issues and trends
• Ability to work well under pressure, complete multiple assignments and function effectively in a high-volume workplace with tight deadlines
• Excellent organizational, project management and planning skills

Educational Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Product Design
• 5+ years working experience as a Lead Designer in an enterprise, agency or consulting environment
• Experience on end-to-end design projects from concept to implementation (print and digital)
• Excellent production skills on Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• A strong portfolio showcasing your work and design skills
• Financial/FinTech industry experience is recommended
