POSITION SUMMARY:
Support and maintain engineering applications, including NX Designcenter and Teamcenter PLM, by managing user access, system administration, data integrity, and technical support requests. This role works closely with Engineering and IT teams to create and maintain CAD assemblies, monitor system performance, and support product lifecycle management processes. The successful candidate will identify opportunities for process improvements and automation while ensuring the reliability, quality, and efficiency of engineering systems and data.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Provide system administration support for NX Designcenter and Teamcenter PLM applications.
Support Engineering users by resolving system access, account management, licensing, and help desk requests.
Create, maintain, and update CAD assemblies, product structures, and bill of material (BoM) data to support engineering programs.
Manage CAD data exchange requests and ensure accurate and timely delivery of engineering data.
Monitor system performance, data quality, storage utilization, and application stability.
Conduct quality checks and support engineering change (ECN) processes and data maintenance activities.
Collaborate with Engineering, IT, and Desktop Support teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and best practices.
Participate in system testing, upgrades, and new PLM process implementations.
Provide weekend support for engineering systems as required.
Requirements
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Certified Engineering Technologist or CompTIA A+ certification preferred.
3 to 5 years of experience supporting hardware, software, and operating systems in a technical support or systems administration environment.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred; transportation industry experience is an asset.
Familiarity with NX Designcenter (CAD), Teamcenter PLM, and Oracle EBS ERP systems is considered an asset.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for supporting users and building collaborative relationships.
Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to continuous improvement and process optimization.
Self-motivated team player who exercises sound judgment, takes initiative, and seeks support when needed to ensure successful outcomes.
