Production Planning & Scheduling Analyst/Sr Analyst  

LOCATION: Sault Ste Marie - Ontario  - Canada 

DEPARTMENT: Supply Chain

Role

The Production Planning and Scheduling Analyst/Sr Analyst will be responsible for the coordination of mill planning, programming and dispatch activities. Plans mill load in compliance with delivery terms.

Responsibilities:

• Verifies plant capacity determining the load of different production centers, planning the need for external suppliers, issuing roadmaps, loading work orders and estimations for the rolling of semi-manufactured products and controlling stock. Minimizing furnace transitory conditions and products internal transfer among plants in order to reduce transport energetic cost.


• Oversees order-processing procedures, ensuring that they are responsive and synchronized to client requirements, develops an integrated order entry capability and ensures real time order tracking.


• Implements collaborative planning, forecasting and stock replenishment, ensures production allocation optimizes load balance, assesses and minimizes the impact of demand variation on capacity, productivity, and inventory.


• Guarantees due care of materials ensuring an appropriate storage.


• Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or a related industrial environment.


• University degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.


• Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while consistently adhering to established procedures and standards.


• Knowledge of manufacturing products, production processes, scheduling, and operational workflows is considered a strong asset.


• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and align activities across multiple functions within the Supply Chain.


• Experience with SAP is an asset, along with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and data visualization tools such as Power BI.


• Ability to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, and other cross-functional teams.


• Proactive, organized, and solution-oriented, with a strong customer service mindset and a collaborative approach.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information and influence outcomes across different organizational levels.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and adapt to changing business needs.

Schedule & Working Conditions:

• 8hr Days – with flexibility based on business needs.


• Work is performed in a steel manufacturing mill.

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $69,000.00 – $114,000.00 annually.

Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, education, skills, and qualifications, as well as internal equity and market considerations.
