Production Porter

We have the privilege of partnering with many of North America’s largest retailers. This position reports directly to Inovata Foods’ Production Supervisor.

Inovata Foods Corp. is looking for a full-time production associate to partner with us as we bring families and friends together through offering wholesome and convenient meals. The role is located in our Tillsonburg, Ontario facility. Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of wholesome control brand frozen meals for many of North America’s largest retailers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Gather the required materials and bring to the production area for startup (film, trays, lids, carts, paperwork, etc.)

• Transport film, pallets of trays and lids from the warehouse to the production line


• Open boxes of lids using appropriate procedures and placing them at the production line


• Assist in setting up the production line when needed at changeover


• Transporting required materials from blancher exit


• Monitoring hopper levels (i.e., ricotta, sauce)


• Transport required materials from kitchen areas to production (i.e., tanks, tubs, dumper bins)


• Ensure proper cleaning procedures are followed for required equipment such as tanks.


• Complete all required returns at completion of the production runs (i.e., Trays, film, unused blends, etc.)


• Assist on production line when required including assisting in break rotation coverage.


• Adhere to all GMPs, Food Safety and Food Quality programs (SQF, HACCP) as mentioned in our written programs to produce the safe and good quality product for our customers.


• In the absence of any of the Production Porters, this position will be covered by the other Production Porters scheduled or a backup Production Porters who has received documented training.

Requirements:

• Experience working in a product development position, restaurant or food science field.
  

Working Conditions:

We strive to help our team members maintain a positive balance between life and work. This position has daily exposure to a food processing environment which includes dampness and cold. Position may require varying start times and extended working hours with occasional weekends to facilitate customer presentations and attendance and production trials and first runs.
