PROFILE SUMMARY
The PRODUCTION SCHEDULER is the analytical anchor for manufacturing operations. This role bridges the gap between Business Development demand and plant capacity. Managing a rolling 4-week to 3-months horizon, the PRODUCTION SCHEDULER is responsible for creating a realistic production schedule and ensuring ERP data integrity to eliminate structural capacity bottlenecks and material shortages before they impact shop floor execution.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
· Create, maintain, and distribute a leveled production schedule in the ERP based on sales orders.
· Formally hand over a verified, achievable 4-week production schedule to the Manufacturing Operations Coordinator weekly.
· Monitor operational capacity to balance labor, machinery, and material constraints.
· Stabilize the short-to-medium term production horizon to minimize emergency schedule changes inside the frozen window.
· Act as the functional champion for the ERP planning modules, ensuring system integrity and parameter optimization.
· Audit and maintain job order data, including job operations, standard times, job start dates, priority levels, etc.
· Identify and correct systemic data errors causing projection inaccuracies or schedule distortions.
· Translate sales demand trends into actionable manufacturing and raw material requirements for the Supply Chain team.
· Lead routine planning alignment meetings with Programs, Engineering, and Operations.
INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS PROFICIENCY:
In addition to GN Corporations Inc. corporate requirements and recommended industry practices, being knowledgeable in the following regulatory and international standards requirements will be an added asset:
1. AS9100D (Aerospace)
2. ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), I
3. ISO 45001:2018 (Health & Safety),
4. ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental)
5. Controlled Goods Program
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Occupational Health and Safety – Understanding and applying the GN Corporations Inc. Health and Safety policy as well as being responsible for his/her own health and safety at work, to avoid adversely affecting the health and safety of others through any act or omission.
· Industry Standards and Regulations – Being familiar with all relevant industry standards, recommended practices, and regulations. Monitoring self-compliance with company, industry, and government requirements as well as promoting their acceptance in all aspects of GN’s business-related activities.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s Degree - Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a highly analytical field.
· 5+ years of master scheduling, capacity planning, or supply chain analysis experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
· Advanced ERP/MRP systems expertise (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor CSI) with deep knowledge of material planning logic.
· Advanced data analysis skills, including high proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power Query or Power BI are strong assets).
· APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP) is highly preferred.
