Production Technical Trainer

The Production Trainer is responsible for establishing and supporting the Production training program and Training Coordinators to meet all training needs. This role assists the Production Manager in implementing and maintaining programs to ensure high quality and efficient production processes. The Trainer teaches and coaches employees on task performance, safety, and quality standards, guiding associates to successfully comprehend production skills and develop further through cross-training. Serving as a role model of appropriate behavior, the Trainer promotes a continuous improvement mentality and fosters a culture of respect and collaboration to maximize production efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the development of work instructions and standardized work methods.
• Creates and maintains Training documents.
• Mentor and monitor on-shift Training.
• Monitor and manages traning matrix for each team.
• Provide support and clear explanations of product specifications and expectations to associates in training.
• Make recommendations to Operations, HR and others regarding training needs, progress, and concerns.
• Develop and promote positive working relationships with Operations, QA, Sanitation, Warehouse and Maintenance departments.
• Ensure all safety policies and expectations are being met by all associates, including PPE usage
• Ensure that company standards and policies are properly taught and maintained to support company initiatives.
• Cover in production positions when there is a need due to lack of talent or qualified associates.
• Effectively communicates as required with supervisor when situations arise.
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in all areas of training and safety.
• Maintain the required hygiene, safety and quality standards on the production floor.
• Responsible to welcome trainees in their department(s) and draft their induction plan.
• Accurately maintain all required training documents and records.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met, supporting continuous improvement projects to reduce cycle time, lead time and reduce waste.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or GED is required. Post-secondary education in adult education or safety is also an asset.
• 5-7 years of bakery experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Previous related experience as a trainer with a proven track record of getting the job done while engaging people is a definite asset.
• Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A strong drive to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
• Strong people skills and the ability to coach others.
• Bilingual; English/Spanish is helpful.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed In this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
