PRIMARY FUNCTION
Reporting to the Program Operational Director, the Program Manager, Cardiac Services provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care across the cardiac program. The Manager leads through collaboration, evidence-informed practice, and continuous quality improvement, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and interdisciplinary teamwork.
The role is accountable for aligning clinical operations with KHSC’s strategic and corporate priorities, advancing quality and safety outcomes, and optimizing human and material resources to achieve efficient, sustainable program performance. The Program Manager actively engages physicians, professional practice, and support teams to enhance patient flow, access to care, and service delivery across the continuum.
In addition to program leadership, the Manager applies strong business and strategic acumen to support operational sustainability and growth. This includes developing business cases, identifying funding and partnership opportunities, and supporting program expansion through data-driven planning and performance monitoring. The Manager ensures that cardiac services remain responsive to evolving community needs while promoting innovation and financial stewardship within the program.
