The Opportunity
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Program Supervisor for our TFC Team (Therapeutic Foster Care) in Edmonton, AB. This role reports to the Senior Program Supervisor, while managing responsibilities focused on supportive care and engagement with our persons served. Taking pride in supporting families from all backgrounds throughout the intake process through to discharge. This role embodies time management, exceptional organization, and knowledgeable about behavioural care and disability services in a residential setting.

The Program Supervisor will oversee CarePros' family-based and front-line service providers, ensuring that the services delivered are not only in line with CarePros policies and industry standards but also meet the needs of our clients and their families in a compassionate and respectful manner.

Your Day to Day
- Oversee the responsibilities and duties of their team
- Coordinating with administration within various program services
- Manage regular performance coaching and one-to-one meetings for growth and support for their team
- Oversee and manage the accuracy of their teams training and skills for compliance
- Distribute data reports to various internal/external stakeholders
- Develop and implement service process improvements to increase quality of client care provided
- Coach the team and respond when necessary to crisis situations using trauma informed de-escalation techniques
- Manage safety plans
What you bring to the table
- Flexible to participate in our “On-Call Rotation” as needed.
- Post-secondary education (Social Work, Community Addictions / Mental Health, Child and Youth Care) or another related field.
- 5+ years’ experience supervising or managing front-line care employees and family based contractors.
- 5+ years’ experience working with Children and Family Services, Family Support for Children with Disability.
- Experience working with children and youth contracts.
- Hands on experience with providing care for others with developmental disabilities or complex behaviours.
- Unmatched verbal/written communication, technology, and documentation skills.
Compliance Regulated Requirements
- Own a reliable 4-door vehicle to transport individual(s) in care.
- Active Alberta Class 5 Driver's License.
- Clear Alberta 10-year Driver's Abstract (10 years driving experience not required).
- Current Standard/Intermediate First Aid with CPR Level C (Canadian Provider in person or blended).
- $2 Million Alberta Auto Insurance Liability coverage.
- Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check obtained in last 6 months.
- Clear Intervention Record Check obtained in last 6 months.
Regulated Physical Requirements
- Walk and stand for extended periods, including long distances.
- Bend, kneel, crouch, and maintain balance.
- Work in varied environments, including outdoor and seasonal conditions.
- Lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds occasionally; reach overhead and outward.
- Perform fine motor tasks (typing, grasping, holding) and repetitive movements.
- Communicate verbally and maintain physical stamina for short and long durations.
