Salary range: $76,960 - $114,400 Shift structure: Monday to Friday, 7.25 hours per day Primary location: CASA Centre Secondary location(s): Multi-site Union: Exempt FTE: 1.00 Status: Permanent About the Role CASA’s Family Therapy Clinic helps families understand each other’s needs and find better ways to work together. The Family Therapy team uses evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches and works with families with complicated dynamics.
The Program Supervisorwill:
Facilitate and lead clinical groups and initiatives as appropriate (e.g. group therapy, reflecting teams).
Review and approve clinical referrals based on program inclusion/exclusion criteria, presenting ‘exceptional case’ referrals to the Program Manager for final approval.
Inform the Program Manager of ongoing clinical supervision needs by providing input and recommendations on specific clinical practice challenges or strengths for program staff.
Provide in-the-moment coaching, role modelling and direction to program staff.
Support the Program Manager in building clinical competency assessment, development and maintenance for practice areas.
Provide provisional supervision to assigned new staff or students as appropriate and assigned by the Program Manager or Senior Manager, Clinical Operations.
Coordinate, develop and facilitate annual program development retreats and other program development processes as directed by the Program Manager.
Train staff on role-specific data entry to meet program evaluation data requirements.
Complete clinical orientation; organize initial clinical shadowing/observation with other team members, engage in clinical observation for and explain clinical administrative processes to new staff, and develop and update clinical program handbook for clinicians.
Observe new hires and provide recommendations and consultation to the Program Manager on any skill building or supports needs.
Qualifications
Graduate degree in clinical psychology, social work (with psycho-social intervention designation), occupational therapy or nursing.
Registration in good standing with a professional college identified under the Health Professions Act.
A minimum of five years of clinical practice in child and family mental health and/or youth addictions.
Conditions of Employment
A satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Intervention Check. This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.
