We are currently looking for a Project Coordinator to support our Rail Delivery team working exclusively on the largest North American transit expansion project to date, Ontario Line.
To succeed in this role, you must have sound stakeholder management skills and experience finding positive solutions to complex issues with clients and diverse teams of project consultants and specialists. Advanced presentation, consultation, negotiation, influencing and consensus building skills are also required. Experience negotiating claims, scope changes and other compliance and contractual items on major projects is desirable.
NOTE: This a Fixed-term role for approximately 12 months
What You Will Do:- Support the delivery of the Elevated Guideway and Stations project delivered utilizing a Progressive Design-Build contract form.
- Provide contractual and commercial support to the management of projects.
- Support the development of contract management change processes, procedures and policies.
- Support the project through the Development Phase which consists of design development, contract negotiations, schedule development, risk quantification and estimate assembly.
- Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation measures specific to commercial and contractual matters.
- Support the negotiations of claims, scope changes and other compliance and contractual items.
- Support in the review of subcontractor and key supplier agreements for best for project outcomes and value for money.
- Support Working Groups, Management Team and Project Leadership to advance the project to and through the implementation phase.
- Support the management of relationships with various groups of internal and external stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:- A few years of hands-on industry experience with a minimum 2 years of direct experience within major projects as an owner representative, design consultant, or construction management role.
- Relevant experience or education in Engineering, Project Management, Architecture, Planning or related discipline.
- PMP certification or in the process of acquiring is an asset.
- Experience with project budgets, schedules, technical requirements, subcontract agreements and/or contract change management.
- Presentation, consultation, negotiation, influencing and consensus building skills are required.
- Demonstrated strong communication and organizational skills
- Advanced technical skills in MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders is required.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Business or another related discipline is required. PMP, P.Eng or in the process of acquiring is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated collaborative behaviors and team building.
