Job Description - Project Manager


Project Manager


We’re looking for a Project Manager to join our team! This position is integral to the function of our organization, playing a critical role in our Enterprise Transformation team. The key responsibilities for this role include:



  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure projects align with the organization’s financial goals and regulatory requirements and translate business objectives into actionable project plans

  • Project Planning & Execution: Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables, develop detailed work plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations 

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, facilitate communication across departments to ensure alignment and timely execution 

  • Risk & Compliance Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, especially those related to financial regulations and data security. Ensure compliance with Canadian financial laws and industry standards.

  • Budget & Financial Oversight: Monitor project budgets and control costs to ensure financial efficiency. Prepare financial reports and forecasts related to project performance 

  • Quality Assurance & Reporting: Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations. Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project status, risks, and outcomes 

  • Change Management & Implementation: Support the rollout of new financial products, systems, or regulatory changes. Develop training materials and transition plans for end-users and clients.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related filed 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)

  • Agile certifications in Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Agilist (Scaled Agile Framework), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) and/or Change Management Certification

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the financial sector

  • Detail-oriented and risk aware, contributing to the safeguarding of our company’s assets and reputation

  • Proficient in digital literacy, including (but not limited to) critical thinking, problem solving and navigation using digital solutions

  • Use and comfortability with a variety of Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Teams, Viva, Power Automate, Power BI)
