Job Description - Project Manager – Business Development


The Administration and Compensation role at Industrial Alliance is seeking a business-oriented project manager capable of coordinating deliverables within a specific business area (contract administration, advisor compensation) without requiring training on the intricacies of the insurance sector. The client wants someone operational from day one, ready to deliver results, with a natural understanding of an insurer's back-office processes. The unspoken requirement: the candidate must already be fluent in the terminology of the AI ​​business teams and require no learning curve.

 

Main Responsibilities



  • Coordinate all deliveries in conjunction with internal teams, business stakeholders, and involved suppliers.

  • Monitor dependencies, timelines, and deliverables throughout the delivery cycle.

  • Maintain seamless communication between business teams and other project stakeholders.

  • Proactively manage risks and issues, escalating roadblocks at the appropriate time.

  • Produce progress reports and keep stakeholders informed of project status.






Requirements

Desired Profile



  • 8 to 10 years of project management experience, with a strong focus on business rather than technical roles.

  • Experience in the insurance or financial sector, ideally in administration, compensation, or back-office operations.

  • Understanding of insurer-specific processes: contract management, representative compensation, and administration of life or group products.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver in a context of system or administrative process transformation or modernization.

  • PMP, MGP, or ACP certification is an asset.

  • Bilingualism (French-English) is an asset.

  • GP experience in delivery mode, 8-10 years | Required AND Full

  • Business domain: administration, compensation, or back-office operations | Required | Illustrative list | Representative

  • Insurance or financial sector experience | Preferred OR Sufficient alternative

  • PMP / MGP / ACP certification | Preferred | Illustrative list | Sufficient alternative

  • Logistics: hybrid, bilingualism preferred | Preferred AND Representative




  • Explanatory note: The business domain is assessed representatively: administration, compensation, and back-office operations are three facets of the same business ecosystem. The presence of two facets demonstrated with concrete deliverables equates to mastery of the ecosystem. The sector is interpreted using an OR logic: insurance or financial, one is sufficient.
