The CAMH Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) is currently seeking a Project Manager for a full-time contract (12 months) position. The Project Manager (PM) will report directly to the Senior Portfolio Manager, Corporate Technology & Infrastructure Projects and to project sponsors for project deliverables. The Project Manager will primarily work on CAMH Education initiatives and other projects as assigned.
CAMH Education is a leading centre of excellence in designing and delivering mental health and addictions education. The department of over 90 staff and physician educators develop countless programs and innovations to diverse learners worldwide and share these best practices broadly across CAMH, the mental health system, and the global community. CAMH Education leads the organization in providing best practice, evidence-informed training programs and processes for internal staff development, capacity building of health care providers and awareness and support for patients and families and other external partners in the mental health and addictions areas. The department also has a strong focus on education scholarship and evaluation activities and digital knowledge exchange and oversees over 2000 student learners across various disciplines.
The initial focus of the Project Manager will be digital infrastructure projects.
These projects would include the implementation of a new learning management system as well as other initiatives to support education design and delivery for internal and external learners. The Project Manager will also support deliverables for special projects that span across teams creating and delivering content. The work may also include internal team process improvement projects, committee support, and conference/education event planning.
The incumbent will be responsible for hands-on leadership as well as execution of work in order to achieve goals and objectives relating to the assigned project(s). This may involve direct and/or indirect supervision of staff delivering on project tasks (task assignment, coaching, mentoring, performance management) and budget management to ensure projects are within scope, on budget and on schedule.
The Project Manager will be responsible for working with multiple clinical, administrative, and executive stakeholders both internal and external to CAMH. The Project Manager will develop work plans, accountabilities, timelines, requirements, communication plans, change management plans, training plans, etc. for the assigned project(s) with key stakeholders and ensure these deliverables are developed and executed in a manner which supports agreed upon timelines and objectives. The Project Manager will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on all aspects of the project(s) in accordance with EPMO processes. This position may also include project administrative tasks.
