Job Summary

As an RFID Project Manager, you will be responsible for implementing the RFID Project in the Garage and Dynamite stores, which involves coordinating with the Iinstallation team, software/app implementation in stores, the training of store teams, and coordinating improvements with the Ssoftware/Aapp team. You will create the implementation schedule in conjunction with the IT, Store Operations, Visual Merchandising, and Store Design teams internally and with external partners (GreyOrange and Keonn) to ensure that store rollout plans are implemented on -time. You will create a training schedule, Q/As, and improvements with the Store Operations team to ensure stores are ready and trained to use the APP and all of its features to their full potential. You will act as the corporate expert on RFID, its interworking, and how best to drive incremental business with it. Your role is critical in the success of RFID at GDI.

Responsibilities

  • RFID Implementation
    • Manage the implementation schedule and highlight any risks and/or issues to overcome;.
    • Lead coordination between the teams responsible for the stores’ implementation schedule;
    • Coordinate internally between the Sstore Ddesign and Vvisual teams to ensure receipt of store layouts and zonings according to the implementation schedule;
    • Ensure that the visual zoning layout matches the current in-store layout and confirm the changes with the Store Managers;
    • Coordinate internally with the IT Iinstallation team to ensure material is received and the installation is executed on -time;
    • Manage the relationship with providers (Keonn and GreyOrange) at setting deadlines and standards.
  • RFID Training
    • Prepare the field training schedule, material, and process in conjunction with the Store Operations team;
    • Identify the group of training stores by region and ensure constant coordination and communication with them. You will be their main point of contact for any improvements or issues;.
    • Train the teams on how to use the app and how to troubleshoot the issues and challenges;
    • Improve on the replenishment process to ensure that the stores are following the standards and guidelines established;.
    • Prepare a list of Q/As and training sessions to tackle every RFID feature separately and instill the logic and train of thought behind each feature so that stores can with time become more self-sufficient with time;
    • Train the HQ teams on how to use the app and desktop versions to track changes in- store, follow -up on merchandising, replenishment, pricing, …etc. Reinforce store compliance;.
    • Prepare a transition plan from standard RFID counts for inventory management to the utilization of the overhead readers.
  • RFID Improvements
    • Prepare a list of improvements and additional features in conjunction with the Store teams, Store Operations, and Visual teams;
    • Prioritise the list based on importance and duration;
    • Manage the development process with GreyOrange, the Pilot Stores, and the HQ teams to ensure the deadlines are met and the improvements are implemented according to our requirements;
    • Create a long- term plan for the following features:;
  • Delivery shipping from DC and processing in- store using RFID;
  • Processing Ship From Store (SFS) & Save tThe Sale (STS) using RFID technology;
  • Processing store-to-store transfers and recalls using RFID;
  • Transitioning from 1D barcode scanning to the QR code for all GDI applications.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Engineering is preferred.
  • 5 - 8 years of experience in retail management.
  • Experience in working with RFID in- store, specifically for inventory management, replenishment, and visual merchandising standards.
  • Strong business and project management acumen.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Highly organized and efficient.
  • Proven ability to coordinate across various cross- functional teams, both HO and the field, to drive a project to fruition.
