Project Manager - Water/Waste Water

Our client is specialized in many areas of the construction industry but mostly focus on Water/Waste Water treatment facilities in Ontario region.  With new project awards, we are recruiting Project Managers for this growing team.  If you are interested in a flexible work from schedule with flexible hours, this role may be for you.

As Water and Wastewater Project Manager you will provide leadership, technical expertise and discipline in project execution, and have an unflinching focus on our client’s satisfaction. Working with other members of  team, you will champion the delivery of high-quality projects that meet or exceed client expectations, and delivering planned profits. As a Project Manager, you will actively support the Managers in developing and expanding opportunities with existing and new clients. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing execution plans for projects, including scope, fee, schedule, quality, health and safety, risk management, and change management plans
  


• Negotiating and managing sub-agreements, tracking, controlling and reporting on project performance, timely invoicing and cash collection, providing technical guidance for deliverable
  


• Developing, mentoring and empowering the project team, including junior staff and junior engineers, and
  


• Maintaining regular and effective communication with clients
  

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering from a recognized institution
  


• Minimum of 8 years engineering design and management of water or wastewater projects
  


• Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario
  


• Experience managing the technical, contractual and financial risks associated with water or wastewater projects
  


• Significant experience in preliminary design, detailed design and contract administration /construction management
  


• The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience
  


• Experience delivering engineering projects in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is an asset
  


• Experience with design build and Public-Private-Partnership assignments is an asset
  


• Experience with business development, including writing technical proposals is an asset
  


• PM experience in large multi-disciplinary projects and /or portfolio management or multi-project management, including project planning, scheduling, estimating and budgeting, progress and performance monitoring and reporting
  


• Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills
  


• Completion of formal PM training in an accredited program that aligns with the requirements of Certified Project Management bodies (e.g. PMI), is an asset
