At KBL, we do things differently. As Western Canada’s largest environmental waste management company—born in the North and built on resilience—we’ve grown by trusting our people, keeping them safe, and backing bold ideas. We're proud to be recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.

We’re looking for a Project Manager / Environmental Engineer to support environmental monitoring, assessment, and remediation projects across Western and Northern Canada. This role is ideal for an environmental professional with experience managing or coordinating smaller-scale projects who is looking to continue building their project management and technical experience in a safety focused, team-oriented environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate environmental projects from planning through completion, including schedules, budgets, reporting, and project documentation

  • Support environmental monitoring, remediation, and sampling programs in both office and field settings

  • Work closely with clients, regulators, subcontractors, and field crews to support safe and successful project delivery

  • Assist with proposals, cost estimates, work plans, and project tracking

  • Participate in and oversee field activities, including site inspections, environmental sampling, and compliance monitoring

  • Promote safe work practices and support strong communication across project teams

Who You Are

  • 3–5 years of experience in environmental consulting, remediation, monitoring, reclamation, or related project work

  • Experience coordinating or managing smaller-scale environmental projects

  • Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, or a related discipline

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable working independently in the field and collaboratively within project teams

  • Professional designation such as P.Eng., P.Ag., P.Geo., RPBio., or equivalent is considered a strong asset

What You Need

  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently to remote project sites across the North

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Ability to perform physically demanding field work in varying outdoor conditions

  • First Aid and WHMIS/TDG certifications (or willingness to complete training provided by KBL)

Why Join KBL?

  • Competitive compensation and above-market benefits

  • RRSP matching, Health Care Spending Account, and Wellness Account

  • Paid training, development opportunities, and career growth

  • Flexible work options where feasible

  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where your work makes a meaningful impact
