💼 About the Role

As AI Systems Lead, you’ll play a mission-critical role in scaling Martell Media’s efficiency, innovation, and long-term competitive edge. You’ll own the development, deployment, and optimization of AI tools, automations, and technical systems across the business, transforming manual processes into streamlined, intelligent workflows that fuel our revenue engine.

You’ll report to the Head of Finance and collaborate cross-functionally with media, revenue, and operations teams to implement high-ROI automations, deliver time savings, and ensure future-readiness in our tech stack.

🔍 What You'll Do

AI & Automation Implementation

• Launch new company-wide automations


• Reduce manual touchpoints in key workflows


• Solve new business problems using AI or automation


• Maintain >99% uptime for all implemented tools


• Resolve critical system issues in under 48 hours

Performance & ROI

• Deliver 20+ hours in company time savings weekly through automation


• Demonstrate 5x ROI on every deployed AI/automation system within 90 days


• Contribute to the company's 10x labor efficiency ratio (LER)


• Track efficiency gains that support our revenue goal

Collaboration & Training

• Attend weekly media or revenue syncs (alternating)


• Train 100% of users on all newly implemented AI tools within 1 week of deployment


• Maintain clear documentation for 100% of systems and workflows


• Develop and uphold quality control/testing protocols for all deployed tools

Research & Innovation

• Identify new large language models (LLMs) for potential use


• Optimize AI prompts to improve internal productivity


• Present new AI/automation opportunity to leadership


• Build competitive-advantage use case

Systems & Strategy

• Conduct monthly audits of AI tools, subscriptions, and model performance


• Identify savings through automation


• Update automation roadmap with leadership


• Ensure scalability of all systems to support 3x company growth

🧠 What You Bring

Required:

• 3+ years experience in automation, systems integration, or AI implementation


• Deep understanding of tools like Zapier, Make.com, OpenAI, Google Workspace, and APIs


• Proficiency with Google Sheets, Python, or low-code environments


• Strong documentation habits and process-mapping ability


• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills


• A bias for action and ownership mindset

Preferred:

• Familiarity with LLMs and prompt engineering


• Experience in a startup, creator-led, or performance-driven environment


• Experience training teams or deploying internal tools at scale


• Interest in personal development, system design, and future-of-work tools
