Psychiatrist

Bayshore Medical Personnel is seeking a part-time Psychiatrist for our Federal Client in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Hourly Compensation Range: $425-450

QUALIFICATIONS

The Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of 6 months psychiatric care experience in last 2 years performing all the following tasks:

• Provide psychiatric care and consultations.


• Assessment and treatment of mental illness.


• Discharge and release planning.


• Telepsychiatry sessions.


• Participation in case conferences, grievance processes, and quality improvement reviews.




• Documentation in Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.


• Compliance with client policies, federal/provincial laws, and professional standards.

CREDENTIAL AND LICENSING MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• Current License in psychiatry from provincial licensing body.


• Specialty Training accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent.


• Maintenance of Competence (CPD transcript for past 5 years).


• Minimum Experience: 6 months providing psychiatric care in the last 2 years.


• References: Two signed reference forms from employers attesting to competence.
