The Purchaser supports operations by handling the day-to-day procurement of aluminum, hardware, and plastics, and other components that keep production moving. The role works closely with operations, warehouse, accounting, and vendors to prevent delays, resolve issues quickly, and keep projects moving. Success in this role means materials arrive on time, orders are accurate, and issues are resolved before they impact the field. You communicate early, take ownership of problems, and become a trusted support to operations, warehouse, and accounting teams.

What You Bring to the Table
Technical Skills
5+ years purchasing or procurement experience, construction or industrial preferred
Comfortable reviewing pricing, invoices, and purchase orders
Hands-on experience with Sage or a comparable ERP system for issuing POs, managing vendor records, and tracking orders
Advanced Excel and computer proficiency
Ability to manage multiple requests and changing priorities
Attributes
Proactively communicate to mitigate impacts to schedule, cost, delivery, etc.
Communicate clearly with vendors and internal teams
Take ownership of tasks and resolve them
Support field, warehouse, and accounting teams in a customer focused manner
Be detailed oriented and look for ways to improve processes
Comfortable working across divisions and adjusting your priorities when the business needs it
Duties & Responsibilities
Create and issue accurate purchase orders including pricing, quantities, freight, and delivery dates
Coordinate deliveries and track orders to ensure materials arrive when required
Resolve invoice discrepancies, claims, and vendor issues promptly
Maintain vendor records, item codes, and pricing agreements
Monitor stock levels and support inventory planning
Register warranties and coordinate equipment rentals
Support quotations and convert approved quotes into orders
Communicate with warehouse and operations teams regarding material condition and needs
Follow up on overdue purchase orders and supplier commitments
Track rebates, cost analysis, and purchasing records
