Qlean - Chemical, Electrical, and Marketing Executives - Renewable Energy and C02 Removal Projects

Hi! We’re Qlean, a Queen’s design club focused on cleantech like renewable energy, carbon capture & utilization, energy storage, etc.

To effectively combat climate change, it will take a large-scale understanding of carbon removal and emission reduction technologies. That’s why our mission is to upskill students via experiential learning in clean tech sectors with experience you can’t get in a classroom.

We can encompass multiple sectors of climate tech with different nodes that host projects in industry (e.g CO2 to ethanol conversion under our Carbon Dioxide Solutions node).

Long term, our vision is to be a clean-tech design hub which focuses on building projects and educating students across multiple sectors within clean tech.

We are hiring 3 executives to help manage our projects this semester!

The executives act as the senior lead on the project (node), applying their discipline's expertise to ensure success. They are responsible for creating an empowering team dynamic that motivates our students to learn and build. The executives are also accountable for the project's success, accomplishing the established scope and objectives.

• You are passionate about engineering solutions to climate change
• You are proactive and take initiative to accomplish your goals
• You care about upskilling other students
• You want to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team that thinks creatively to solve problems
• You work hard to achieve your goals

• Create the scope and objectives for your project; build a roadmap and timeline to accomplish them
• Hiring and selecting sub-team leads and general members
• Run weekly meetings for your project's sub-teams
• Proactively solving problems that come up within your team, including dynamics and roadblocks
• Updating and collaborating with Co-Captains to stay on track and build a functioning team
• Etc.

• Hiring will occur on Wednesday, Thursday, and (September 10th, 11th,). Accommodations can be made in case of conflict.
