QSURJ Managing Editor (2)

We’re seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented leader to join our editorial team as a Managing Editor. In this role, you’ll oversee the full editorial workflow of our academic journal—from the moment a manuscript is submitted to its publication. You will manage the peer review process, ensure clear communication with authors and reviewers, and support the Editor-in-Chief in upholding the journal’s academic standards.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, strong leadership abilities, and an eye for detail. Prior experience in academic publishing, peer review, or editorial management is strongly preferred.

• Lead and support the Peer Reviewer team, including recruitment, training, and oversight
• Develop and maintain review guidelines and rubrics to ensure consistent evaluation of submissions
• Manage the distribution and tracking of manuscripts through all stages of review
• Communicate with authors regarding review outcomes, revisions, and editorial updates
• Oversee editorial operations to ensure deadlines and publication timelines are met
• Assist with editing and proofreading when needed
• Collaborate with editorial leadership to refine policies, workflows, and best practices
• Track progress on submissions and provide reports on journal operations
• Represent the journal professionally at academic or institutional events
