THEROLE IN A NUTSHELL

This position reports directly to the Manager, IT QualityAssurance. The Quality Assurance Automation Tester is responsible for Automatedtesting activities for large and complex software applications. The idealcandidate is skilled in different testing methodologies, has the ability tointerpret testing scope into tangible test scripts and has the ability to solveproblems and remove obstacles that prevent testing progress. The ideal candidate will possess exceptionaltechnical, analytical and communication skills. Strong knowledge of proceduresand methodologies in Quality Assurance and Test Automation would be a requirement. The QualityAssurance Automation Tester assures that the Automated testing supports thevalidation of software application according to the test cases.

• Createautomated test scripts based on test cases, pre-conditions, and data setuprequirements.
• Updateand maintain Object libraries and Automation Framework components.
• Maintainthe automated test scripts for various applications.
• Debugand deliver fully functional automated test scripts.
• Mentor andsupport Quality Assurance testers in executing automated test scripts.
• Createtest cases based on user stories and/or requirements documentation for alltypes of testing methods
• Provideinput in the creation of test strategy based on requirements for all types oftesting methods
• Executetest cases using both manual and automated testing tools
• Createand maintain test scripts for data setup and manipulation
• Documentdefects related to testing completed
• ActivelyParticipate in all agile ceremonies
• Participatein impact analysis and root cause defect analysis
• Collaboratewith team members to understand testing needs and optimum test coverage
• Ensureestablished testing processes are followed
• Ensurecompletion and accuracy of testing documentation, traceability, and metrics
• Providetime estimates – story points for testing assignments
• Trackand report on testing process progress
• Participatein release planning, release readiness and validation
• Contributetowards the organizational goals, roadmap, and training plans.
• Contributeto the improvement and advancement of Automation QA Processes and Practice

• University Degree or College Diploma inComputer Science, or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years’ experience testingvarious computer software applications utilizing multiple testing and projectmanagement (Waterfall or Agile) methodologies
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in creating,modifying and updating automated test scripts or Successful completion ofapproved Automation Tool course
  
  • Advanced knowledge of Automated TestingTools such as UFT/Cypress/Appium Hands on experience with scripting languagesuch as Visual Basic script / C# and SQL scripts Hands on experience withProgramming/ Scripting Languages like Python, PowerShell and Java Script
  • Fundamental knowledge of DevOps and Git
• Advanced knowledge of automated testingconfiguration, build and release management or Successful completion ofapproved Automation Tool course
• Experienced in Agile Testing, STLC (SoftwareTesting Life Cycle) and DLC (Defect life cycle)
• Demonstrated experience with developing andrunning SQL queries at a basic level
• Expert knowledge of Test Planning and executionfor Functional and Non-Functional Testing
• Expert knowledge of Azure DevOps or equivalenttest case and bug tracking tools
• Excellent problem solving andinvestigational skills
• Excellent communication skills both oraland written
• Demonstrated analytical skills andemphasis on accuracy
• Good interpersonal skills to effectivelywork in a team environment
• Strong organization skills and theability to work within tight deadlines with attention to detail and accuracy
