JOB OVERVIEW
LEP is seeking dynamic talent to join our team in the role of Radiation Protection Technician II. This exciting opportunity offers a starting rate of $29.48/hr with annual increases. The ideal candidate would have 1-3 years’ experience working in the nuclear industry. Successful applicants will be represented by the Power Workers’ Union.
Laurentis Energy Partners at The Clean Energy Material Sorting and Recycling (CMSR) facility is a research initiative in partnership with McMaster University. We are ventured on a mission to reduce the nuclear by-product footprint, making the nuclear industry cleaner and more sustainable. The CMSR operations includes Class 7 shipping of Low-Level Waste (LLW) bins, performing and documenting initial surveys, labelling and storage of bins , processing, sorting, and segregating low-level waste into a variety of waste streams to be re-packaged and shipped.
