Purpose of the Role:

As the R&D Coating Co-op you will work closely with the team to assist in all laboratory operations, preparing samples,
perform quality checks and maintain laboratory equipment. 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• You are pursuing post-secondary education in Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. 

• You have previous experience in a laboratory setting is a plus. 

• You have knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and safety practices. 


• You are proficient in using laboratory equipment and tools. 


• You are comfortable using computer applications and software such as Microsoft 365 Office suite. 

• You have familiarity with data entry and laboratory management software.

What Success looks like in this role:

• You will assist the team in all laboratory operations and prepare the coater, set up the die, pumps, and tube connection, and help clean the equipment after use.


• You will maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and assist in ordering materials as needed.


• You will adhere to safety protocols and laboratory best practices to ensure a safe working environment. 
  


• You will assist in the proper disposal of hazardous waste according to safety regulations and environmental guidelines. 


• You will maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is clean, calibrated, and in good working condition. 


• You'll conduct routine laboratory tests and experiments under the supervision of a Chemist or Senior Chemist.
