These individuals also have an opportunity to work with the appropriate government bodies to obtain regulatory approval, and to issue patents in conjunction with the IP department. \n\nYour responsibilities will include:\n\n * Assist in the design of cutting-edge medical devices through prototyping, testing and modeling. \n * Develop validation plans and conduct validation testing \n * Assist in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) activities. \n * Develop and test new manufacturing processes. \n * Maintain working relationships with Suppliers. \n * Support regulatory filings to various government bodies. \n * Support the development of intellectual property. \n * Support pre-clinical and clinical research activities\n * Comply with the Health \u0026 Safety policies of the company and inform Management of unsafe working conditions. \n * Other duties as required. \n\n\n\nRequired qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in a relevant engineering discipline\n * 1-2 years of relevant work experience\n * Knowledge of the design requirements as per ISO 13485 \n * Experience with drafting and maintaining DHF and DMR documentations \n * Experience with leading rapid design iteration and making design recommendations \n * Ability to independently develop and adapt work plans based on vague or changing project goals \n * Strong hypothesis-driven experimental design and statistical analysis skills \n * Candidates should be self-starters and have a hands-on approach \n * Ability to work independently and within a diverse group of engineers and production staff \n * Strong communication skills (verbal/written) and demonstrated leadership skills \n\n\n\nPreferred qualifications:\n\n * Masters degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred\n * Related experience in medical device industry; Open to automotive, aerospace, and other biotechnology industries \n * Experience with injection molding component design\n * Experience with catheter devices development\n\n\n\nLearn more about our Transseptal Access Devices\n\nClick this link to explore the groundbreaking technology behind our transseptal access devices at Boston Scientific: Transseptal access devices.\n\nRequisition ID: 626973\n\nMinimum Salary: $49,700 \n\nMaximum Salary: $98,900 \n\nThe anticipated compensation and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) \u2013 see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com\\--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
