Rebar Machine Operator

We are seeking a motivated individual looking for work as a rebar machine operator for our client who is a leader in the fabrication and distribution of concrete reinforcing steel and related products. This is the perfect position for someone looking for long-term employment with a company that values and invests in its employees.

SHIFT SCHEDULE: Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 5:00 am to 1:30 pm

WAGE: starting at $25/hr. Pay is based on experience with an opportunity to review following a successful 3-month probation.

Please be aware that this location is in Rocky View No.44, Alberta, and unfortunately, public transportation is unavailable. Therefore, candidates interested in this opportunity must possess a dependable vehicle for transportation.

Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Canada by way of Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or valid Canadian work permit. We do not provide LMIA or do sponsorships.

Responsibilities
What will your daily responsibilities look like?
- moving steel bars (rebar) to the required work station
- using a metal shearing machine and table blender to form steel into the required size and shape
- ensuring that safe working protocols are followed for the benefit of the whole team
- high degree of safety awareness and commitment to safety


Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess
- strong math skills
- must be comfortable standing, bending, and lifting and can lift up to 50lbs unassisted
- must have your transportation, as public transport is not available
- Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Canada by way of Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or valid Canadian work permit. We do not provide LMIA or do sponsorships.
