GENERAL DESCRIPTION:


 


The Receptionist is a full-time permanent administrative position. The Receptionist is responsible for reception of all clients, guests, and the public who contact the offices of Kitapinoonjiiminaanik Family Services. The Receptionist is the first impression of the agency and as such will provide reception duties professionally, respectfully, and graciously, always demonstrating our mission of service to our community



RESPONSIBILITY:



The Receptionist reports to the Resource Manager in all aspects of job function and will exercise the following duties under the direction of the Resource Manager.


 


QUALIFICATIONS:




  1. Knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act and Regulations, Customary Care and the philosophy of service delivery, First Nation communities, family structure, as well as local customs and traditions.

  2. Knowledge of the administrative structure and operations of Kitapinoonjiiminaanik Family Services including service delivery, policies, procedures, and office methods.

  3. Committed to always ensure highest level of confidentiality; thorough understanding that all agency matters related to services, clients, staff, and all other agency business must be kept confidential.

  4. Ability to coordinate all reception services, and to receive clients, caregivers, and other visitors attending the office in a professional, respectful, and gracious manner.

  5. Ability to direct visitors and phone call appropriately and provide general non-confidential information.

  6. Ability to assess urgent matters ensuring appropriate staff are promptly notified or refer matter to supervisors and/or directors as required.

  7. Experience with computers and office procedures to include incoming and outgoing mail and faxes, maintaining an inventory of office supplies, filing, and basic word processing.

  8. Superior communication and interpersonal skills to maintain a good rapport with internal and external contacts.

  9. Excellent multi-tasking skills to coordinate all reception services and meet the demands of a fast-paced front desk, telephone, and reception area.

  10. You must possess a valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and be willing to travel.

  11. Must provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Driver’s Abstract; and

  12. Ability to speak Ojibway is preferred and a definite asset.







                                                      SALARY RANGE: Start: $38,883 – End: $47,687
