We're top-rated, super-busy and looking for Edmonton's finest to join our team as a Receptionist! We pride ourselves on delivering friendly, professional and meticulous hair waxing services to our clients. QUALIFICATIONS: One year previous experience in a similar environment (retail/service/salon/office)  Computer savvy including confidence with learning and using in-house software systems   JOB SPECIFICATIONS The Receptionist is a key member of the Buff Wax Spot Store Team and reports to the Store Manager/Studio Team Lead.  You must be able to: Demonstrate 1 year of previous experience in similar environment (retail/salon/restaurant/medical/office)  Stand when required for your shift, bend often, participate in active cleaning of the shop and occasionally lift items weighing up to 10 pounds Manage time effectively and handle periods of high volume with ease Be computer savvy including learning and using in-house software systems Provide the highest-quality service and client care with kindness, great conversation, friendly demeanour and sense of humour Maintain a polished, fashionable and business-appropriate appearance Show up on time and ready to work Greet clients professionally and courteously Be well-mannered with superb phone skills; ability to remain cool under pressure is critical Effectively check guests in and out, cash out clients, accurately input client information into the booking software, and rebook appointments Accurately record tips and product commissions received for Wax Techs Display excellent client service, communication and organization skills Maintain a professional, orderly, and clean work environment Listen and communicate effectively Organize, be neat and extremely clean-conscious Punctual and reliable High integrity with a great attendance record Ability to problem solve as issues arise Attention to detail, meticulous and efficient Respectful and open to growth  Assist with daily salon duties (laundering towels, sweeping, mopping, sterilizing implements, etc) Performs daily inventory counts Streamlining the work flow for the team and providing support to team members  Learn about our retail products and provide guidance and assistance with retail products  Meets and/or exceeds product sales targets Recommend services and products to clients  Educate on and sell wax after-care products Maintaining retail products stocks and keeping retail area clean, tidy and attractive Contributes to an energetic, purposeful, and creative environment that encourages team work with shared values of Respect, Support, Consistency, Compassion, Openness, and Humfunepo Self-motivated and ready to go above and beyond Goal-oriented Team player Flexibility to work evenings and weekends Support the company in achieving its goals Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and trainings WHAT YOU GET:   As a member of the Buff Wax Spot team, you will be part of: A fun, well-managed, dynamic (read: busy!) work environment that promises to reward you for all your amazing work and contributions to the growth of the company and nurture your professional and personal development in whatever way we can  Hands-on training with customer experience experts, brand experts, and product representatives Fun team-building events  The opportunity to be involved in and influence the growth and direction of an exciting and fun beauty bar start-up Plus, you’ll have: Competitive hourly wages + tips + commission on retail sales  Paid sick days + mental health days Paid vacation time A little something special for your work anniversary Free waxing for you + steep discounts on retail products Powered by JazzHR
