Job Description - Receptionist/Accounting Assistant

Join our client’s vibrant team as a Receptionist/Accounting Assistant! We are seeking an individual who not only possesses strong administrative and accounting skills but thrives in a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys helping and supporting others, exhibits a passion for quick learning, and embraces adaptability in the face of change. This role is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who excel in both administrative and accounting support.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Communication: Manage phone calls, emails, and other correspondence to facilitate effective communication within the company.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including filing, data entry, and document organization.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional, timely, and accurate customer support to internal/external clients and staff.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to streamline information flow.
  • Accounting Assistance: Handle Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Month Ends, Year Ends, Bank Reconciliations, Bank Deposits, Invoicing, Processing credit card transactions. 


Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of Accounting/Bookkeeping experience
  • Proficient in QuickBooks & Excel
  • Skilled in all Microsoft Office Products (Word, Outlook) & basic office equipment
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Flexibility and comfort with non-routine assignments and tasks
  • Enjoys working in a team environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be teachable and willing to learn all required systems and programs


Compensation:

  • Wage $26 per hour
  • Choice of working Monday to Friday 9am – 3pm OR Monday to Thursday 9am – 4pm (both with a 30-minute lunch)
  • Starting as a part-time role (28-30 hours/week), there's room for growth into a full-time position for the right candidate
  • 50/50 benefits plan, one 8-hour flex day per year 
  • 3-month probation period to ensure the right fit
  • Free parking onsite, full kitchen for staff
