Recovery Coach Academy Canada delivers nationally recognized, recovery focused training programs designed to prepare individuals to become Certified Recovery Coaching Professionals. Our curriculum combines practical skill development, ethical standards, communication excellence, and real-world application. We are building a professional workforce that strengthens recovery communities across Canada.


 


Recovery Coach Academy of Canada is seeking two confident, engaging, and passionate Facilitators to deliver our Recovery Coach training programs across Western Canada. This is a highly visible role for individuals who believe deeply in recovery, bring lived recovery experience, and are committed to developing strong Certified Recovery Coach Professionals. If you know a good dad joke or two, or you firmly believe pineapple belongs on pizza, you are already aligned with our culture. We take recovery seriously. We do not take ourselves too seriously.


 


Facilitators lead both in person and virtual Recovery Coach training cohorts. You will regularly facilitate groups of 15 to 45 individuals and must be comfortable commanding a room with clarity, confidence, and presence. This role requires significant travel. Facilitators must be available to travel across Western Canada for a minimum of five days and up to two weeks at a time, including evening sand weekends. Programming is delivered in treatment centres, correctional facilities, community organizations, and professional environments.


Role-Specific Accountabilities



  • Lead in-person Recovery Coaching programming across Western Canada, traveling for five days up to two weeks at a time, including evenings and weekends as required. Deliver programming in treatment centres, correctional facilities, and community settings while representing RCAC professionally.

  • Facilitate virtual Recovery Coach programming using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and online learning platforms, ensuring an engaging, interactive, and professional experience.

  • Deliver high quality education on Recovery Coaching principles, ethics, and communication skills while creating a structured and supportive learning environment that encourages discussion, accountability, and growth.

  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to learners throughout the training process and collaborate with RCAC leadership to support continuous improvement of programming and delivery.

  • Maintain strong organizational systems, time management, and customer service when working with learners and partner organizations.


 


Qualifications



  • Lived recovery experience and a strong passion for recovery.

  • Currently on the path to completing Recovery Coach Certification and the Certified Recovery Coach Professional designation.

  • Demonstrated facilitation experience in both in person and virtual settings.

  • Comfortable with public speaking on a regular basis and engaging larger audiences of up to 45 individuals.

  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to confidently command a room.

  • Comfortable working in treatment centres and correctional facilities.

  • Confident using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and online learning platforms.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Strong organizational skills, patience, confidence, and the ability to adapt to changing schedules and environments.

  • Self-starter with initiative and professional accountability.

  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle suitable for regular travel across Western Canada.

  • Must provide a current Criminal Record Check prior to employment

Conditions of Employment



  • Successfully complete and pass a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Record Check prior to initiating employment and annually thereafter.
