We are the leading beauty hair retailer and salon in Canada. With over 115 locations and a catalog of 6,000+ products, we are on a mission to make our clients and customers look and feel their best. At Chatters, we are transforming how Canadians experience beauty — blending in-salon expertise, retail convenience, and ecommerce innovation. As we grow, we are evolving our supply chain to deliver faster, smarter, and more efficiently for our customers and partners across the country.
We are seeking an experienced, customer-centric leader who is ready to take on the role of Regional Director, supporting our Western Canada operations. As a Regional Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success and growth of Chatters Limited Partnership, embodying the company's values and commitment to excellence in every aspect of your role. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Stores & Operations, this is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to provide support to our locations in Western Canada.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership and Team Management:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • You’re an excellent problem solver who knows how to get things done.  You work closely with the District Managers to implement relevant objectives, KPI’s, processes and programs.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of managers and staff across multiple locations in Western Canada.
  • Foster a positive and dynamic work culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Operational Excellence:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of all locations within your region, ensuring adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency, maximize sales, and enhance profitability.
  • Analyze performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement action plans to address operational challenges.

Client & Customer Experience:
  • Champion the delivery of exceptional customer experiences across all locations within the designated region, ensuring consistency in service quality and guest satisfaction.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and customer preferences to anticipate and respond to changing market demands.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance customer loyalty and retention, driving repeat business and positive word-of-mouth referrals.

Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage regional budgets, forecasts, and financial targets in collaboration with the executive team.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and take proactive measures to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Implement cost-control measures and identify opportunities for revenue growth and expense optimization.

Strategic Planning and Execution:
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute regional business plans and growth strategies.
  • Identify market opportunities and competitive threats, providing insights and recommendations to inform decision-making.
  • Drive the implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and timelines.

Communication and Reporting:
  • Facilitate effective communication channels within the regional team and across the organization, promoting transparency, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Provide regular reports, updates, and insights to senior management on regional performance, key initiatives, and strategic priorities.
  • Maintain a high level of competence and professionalism when representing Chatters at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Three to five years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably as a Regional Director or in a similar multi-site management capacity, preferably in a retail or beauty environment.
  • Proven track record of success in driving business growth, achieving revenue targets, and optimizing operational performance within the beauty or retail industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in team management, including recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Strong background in strategic planning, execution, and change management, with the ability to lead organizational initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • You know your way around a computer and you’re comfortable learning new applications and systems.
  • Familiarity with retail management systems, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and other technology platforms used in the industry.

Why Chatters - We believe great work deserves great perks. At Chatters, you’ll enjoy:
  • Competitive medical and dental benefits.
  • Employer RRSP contributions.
  • Deep discounts on the best professional beauty products and services.
  • A dynamic, "Proudly Canadian" culture with endless room to grow your career.
