Job Description - Regional Retail Manager

Reporting to the Director, Retail Stores, the Regional Manager is responsible for achieving the sales & store profitability targets for the Lindt Canada Retail Chocolate Shops within a specific region, consisting of multiple stores. The Regional Manager will be a highly influential Brand Ambassador for Lindt Canada, with strong motivational skills, taking great strides to ensure an exceptional customer and employee experience at Lindt Retail Shops by providing a high level of leadership, support and direction to the Retail Store Management Teams.

Responsibilities:

Achieving Sales & Profitability Targets

  • Develop and implement a region-specific plan to achieve sales & profitability targets, actively advocating for all Lindt Retail sales formats, contributing to maximizing business potential for all of D2C
  • Coach and motivate teams to achieve high performance standards, providing regular recognition of contributions
  • Analyze data regularly, deliver clear conclusions and actions to diverse audiences, provide quarterly business updates
  • Oversee the implementation of merchandising initiatives and promotional activity to directive at stores, maintaining brand presentation standards, and increasing brand equity
  • Uphold exemplary customer service values through behavior modeling, guideline establishment, and reviewing top sellers & sell-through reporting to support and identify increased sales potential

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure operational activities, including administration, processes, and health & safety, are implemented to expectation in Retail Shops within the region
  • Act as a resource to Retail Store Managers for matters related to product information, merchandising standards, operations guidelines and inventory control
  • Maintain consistent in-store execution standards for shop specific and Company processes, policies, procedures, merchandising, and selling strategies; support activities related to new store activities, renovations and closures as required
  • Provide feedback and collaborate with partners to address and overcome business challenges; continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies, ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies, and communicate all pertinent company information to stores

Leadership, Development, & Performance Management

  • Develop & implement recruitment & retention plans for high calibre leaders, ensuring key role vacancies are filled promptly
  • Train, coach, develop, motivate, inspire Retail teams for high engagement, provide a safe and inclusive work environment; identify and develop high-potential in-store talent
  • Drive accountability with store management on sales goals, budget management (P&L reviews), and cost control (payroll, supplies, etc); provide regular team feedback and coaching
  • Partner with Recruitment on market conditions, hiring & retention goals; address performance concerns promptly, partner with HR on employee relations

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of retail management experience, including multi-unit environments
  • Post-secondary education in hospitality, retail, or related field
  • Strong communication skills; ability to lead diverse teams to deliver tangible results
  • Motivated to create customer-centric cultures of excellence
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and people management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, analyze data (including P&L statements), and use POS systems. Computer literacy in Microsoft, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to lead teams remotely, ensuring consistency in execution
  • Experience in merchandising premium products, strong customer service and selling skills
  • Ability to use tact and discretion when sensitive situations arise
  • Bilingualism is an asset
