As a member of the healthcare team, the Registered Dietitian will be responsible for the nutritional care of inpatient amputee, spinal cord, ABI and stroke rehabilitation patients. The Registered Dietitian is responsible for assessment of nutritional status, implementation and management of nutrition care plans, and counseling and teaching patients and families. The Dietitian will participate in student education, as appropriate, including the training of dietetic interns.
The Regional Rehabilitation Centre is a 78 bed facility located at the Hamilton General site. It is an adult rehabilitation facility treating ambulatory and in patient diagnostic populations that include acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputee and stroke.

This position is temporary until January 2028.
1. Current registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario or eligibility for registration
2. Baccalaureate degree in Applied Human Nutrition or Baccalaureate of Science and successful completion of dietetic internship
3. Demonstrated knowledge of health education theory and clinical nutrition, and their practical application in patient care within a rehabilitation setting
4. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in dysphasia management, enteral nutrition and rehabilitation
5. Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
6. Excellent communication, time management, problem-solving and organizational skills
7. Computer and Medline search skills
8. Member of Dietitians of Canada as required
